Twynham Sixth Form Exam Results
Twynham Sixth Form is proud to announce the fantastic achievement of our students. Throughout their time at Twynham School they have demonstrated a commitment to their studies which is to their credit and they have been rewarded with their results today. This year’s cohort has delivered strong performance across a wide range of subjects, continuing the school’s tradition of academic excellence.
Most pleasing was that 83% of students secured places at their first choice university, with others taking up opportunities in competitive apprenticeships and gap year programs. This reflects a significant achievement, surpassing last year’s placement rate. We are especially thrilled that 43 of our successful applicants will be attending prestigious Russell Group universities. This includes a remarkable number of students progressing into highly competitive fields, with 3 students accepted into Veterinary Medicine courses and 2 students gaining places at the University of Oxford.
This year’s principal students who have given so much to the school community this year and now celebrate the beginning of their next steps. Toby, will be studying Engineering at the University of Exeter, Maria will attend The University of Edinburgh for Veterinary Medicine and Jemma will study Media and Communications at Cardiff University.
Also, to be commended are: Lucy has been accepted into Oxford; Gemma will study Law at Exeter; Veronique, Musical Theatre at Staffordshire; Laura, Economics at Bristol; Samuel will study Film Production at Arts University Bournemouth; Rosie, Law at Cardiff; and Jack, Music at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Kate Ball, Associate Headteacher, said Twynham Sixth Form continues to support its students in achieving their academic and career aspirations, guiding them to success in a variety of fields. The accomplishments of this year’s cohort are a testament to the dedication of both the students and staff, and we look forward to seeing our students thrive in their future endeavours and always be connected to us as members of our Alumni.
It is always great to have the opportunity to celebrate with students on results day and we wish them all the best with their next step and in the future. We would like to thank the students and teachers for their hard work, and the parents & carers for their support, over the last seven years.
Well done to the class of 2024 – you have made us very proud!
